Description
A beautiful **vintage Alfano Brazilian butterfly-wing brooch** featuring a colourful miniature scene of **Rio de Janeiro**.
The oval brooch uses the natural iridescence of butterfly wing to create a luminous blue background, with a detailed tropical Rio scene applied over the surface and protected beneath glass. As the brooch catches the light, the butterfly wing displays its characteristic changing colour and sheen.
The reverse is **signed Alfano** and the brooch was **made in Brazil**. Pieces of this type were produced as decorative jewellery and Brazilian souvenirs, combining natural butterfly wing with miniature scenic artwork.
